![]() ![]() ![]() Break cloak by aligning to that object when all enemy are at the best possible distance from you. Take your time, sort overview by distance, pick out something to warp to (away from the gate) and then break cloak. Even if huge, you have a full 30 seconds before the gate cloak drops and you can't be uncloaked by external means in that time. Unless the gate camp is huge, most of them will be orbiting the gate at under 2.5 Kms. When you first jump into a system you appear 12 Km away from the gate. It is not impossible to be caught but very rare. Getting through gate camps is extremely easy in those ships, even bubbled camps in null. Note very few people fit an AB to a Covops ship. The only thing they can't do is activate an AB or MWD while cloaked, but you can get one cycle out of those propulsion modules when you first cloak. Or am I missing something?Ĭovop frigates, including stealth bombers are increadibly fun ships to fly thanks to their abiltity to warp and burn at full speed while cloaked (using a Covop Cloaking device). They can see you and target you, so you can only hope you can activate warp before you get warp scrambled. (It does sound good for sitting in a system probing, scanning for PVP, etc.) If you jump and run into a gate camp on the other side, you're in the same situation you'd be in in a non-cloak ship. ![]() Hmm, I'm failing to see much benefit to cloaking, as far as long distance travel or hauling goes. So there are small times when you might be targeted by someone quick enough. Sometimes the jump button (when you're outside of normal range) doesn't get you close enough to auto uncloak, and you have to do it yourself)Ĥ: do /something/ to lose your gate cloak. or get to 2000 and uncloak automatically. preferably not to 0, as that can undock you.ģ: get within 2500m. use an undock bookmark to warp away safely. if you're within 2000m of anything, you can't cloak. Other than that, Cov ops ships with a cov ops cloak. and you can't activate your cloak while under gate cloak. Then answer, you your question as written, is 'none'. ![]()
